For Advisors
Efficient and Lucrative Collaboration
You’re an expert in your field but wearing too many hats slows down your progress and your revenue. I’ve learned that staying in my lane and working with other trusted advisors allows us all to shine.
Trying to help your clients move forward with financial or estate planning without helping them create shared understanding, communication and trust can be like moving through molasses. That’s where I come in – I can help clients improve family dynamics, develop leaders, and plan for succession while you focus on your area of expertise.
Confidential, caring process
I consider working with the clients of other advisors a measure of trust. I work closely with you before meeting with a client to fully understand the complexities and scope of the situation and to make sure our work is congruent with your goals as well as those of your family enterprise clients.
My expertise
Leadership Development and Ownership Transition
A succession plan or leadership transition can be fraught with emotions for both the current leaders and their successors. Successful family businesses utilize outside experts to help the transition occur with more ease.
I help co-create a shared vision, unified communication and a process for developing future leaders with tangible measures. I work with both the strengths of active leader and the leader who is being groomed for the position. This supports healthy optimism, alignment and a successful strategic plan.
Building Communication, Trust and Alignment
I help families look beyond their differences to a new shared vision and build skills around inclusive communication and alignment.
I facilitate fruitful family meetings that support understanding, peace and a secure future. I also help business families create boundaries and processes so family issues stay with the family, ownership issues are discussed amongst owners, and business managers are supported to make decisions and operate on a daily basis without interference from non-working family members.
Exploring A Bigger Future
I help Founders explore their passions and purpose beyond the business, empowering them to make a transition that’s right for them and the business.
It’s challenging to look beyond the business when you feel you can’t step away from the day-to-day operations. Structures need to be put in place so future leadership can step in to manage daily operations and founders can step back. However, the procrastination of succession is often due to more emotional reasons.
Founders usually have their identity tied to the business. They ask themselves, “If I leave the business how will I matter? What would I even do?”
If our identity in mid-life has been largely built around our work, our relationship, our family, our children, our environment, our social life etc., the parts of ourselves that we’ve suppressed (to gain acceptance along the way) expands while the things we’ve built our identity around begin to contract. We feel tired, bored, lost and out of sorts. I help founders ignite their torch and recalibrate their compass by exploring their true essence – who they are and what fulfills them through a fun, exhilarating process.
